Making graphic novels and art in general.

Why do we have gender specific pronouns?  Seriously, why?  This isn’t a “feminist” question; it’s a practical one.  Is it so important to know someone’s gender that it has to be specified?  ”She took the apple.” vs “He took the apple.”   Because seriously if I didn’t know it was a girl or a boy that took the apple I wouldn’t know what to do.

We don’t have pronouns that signify races or hair-colours or heights or  ages.  Imagine if you had to say “White took the apple.”?  Or “Brnhr took the apple.” as if it was so important to know that the person had brown hair in the short term.  Why is the separation between genders the most important defining factor?
